Yes. Noble Gold Investments is a real, operating gold IRA seller, legally Golden Bull, LLC of Encino, California. It has a BBB A+ grade, 3 BBB complaints in three years and no regulator action found (October 2, 2026). The only two court cases found were both filed by Noble Gold itself, against other companies. Legit is not the same as cheap, so what do the complaints say about price and service?
A gold IRA is a retirement account that holds physical gold through a custodian. The BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a private nonprofit that grades how firms handle complaints. SafeOunce read all 3 Noble Gold complaints at the BBB, sorted 13 low-star reviews and opened both court files. It also checked the regulators, four statements on Noble's own pages that conflict with IRA rules, what Noble's documents say and how to complain. Fees, the $20,000 minimum (gold IRA page, September 29, 2026) and what $100,000 costs are in our Noble Gold Investments review. This page covers the complaint, court and BBB record as of October 2, 2026.
The 11 facts below come from the BBB, Trustpilot, two federal court dockets, California business records and Noble Gold's own pages, each dated.

Is Noble Gold Legit? The Short Answer#
Noble Gold is a legitimate, operating company: records date it to 2016, the BBB grades it A+, and no customer lawsuit or regulator action was found (October 2, 2026). A regulator is a government agency that can fine or sue a company, such as the CFTC or a state attorney general. If you ask "is Noble Gold legit", the record says yes. The BBB counts 3 complaints in three years against 243 customer reviews.
Legit means the company is real and has no record of fraud findings. It does not mean its prices are low. The complaints that exist are about markups and slow sell-backs. Noble's website does not publish coin prices, its spread or its purchase agreement (October 2, 2026). So "no regulator action found" tells you about fraud risk, not about cost.
Several ranking pages get basic facts wrong. One shows a Trustpilot score of 2.9 from 2 ratings (it is 4.9 from 796). Two say Pasadena (the address is Encino). One prints a $2,000 minimum (Noble's gold IRA page says $20,000, September 29, 2026).
One ranking page also credits Noble with "over two decades" of experience. Noble's own site says "More than 20 Years" (September 29, 2026), while the BBB dates the business to May 14, 2016. Which company name do the records use?
Golden Bull, LLC and "Noble Gold, Inc.": the names on the record#
Noble Gold's legal name is Golden Bull, LLC, and that is the name on both court dockets, on the BBB profile and in California business records. Noble's terms page reads "Golden Bull, LLC dba Noble Gold Investments". A dba ("doing business as") is a brand name used by a company with a different legal name. An LLC is a limited liability company. The BBB lists "Golden Bull, LLC" as an alternate name, with "Business Incorporated: 5/24/2016" (October 2, 2026).
California business records, as copied by OpenCorporates, show Golden Bull, LLC as active under No. 201615310033 (September 29, 2026). A second disclaimer on Noble's site says "NOBLE GOLD, INC." SafeOunce found no California registration under that name on September 29, 2026.
The BBB and Noble's site name Collin Plume as president and CEO. Golden Bull, LLC does not publish who owns it or in what shares.

Noble Gold BBB Rating and Complaint Record#
Noble Gold holds a BBB A+ grade, accredited since January 23, 2017, with 3 complaints in the last three years (October 2, 2026). One of the three closed in the last 12 months. The Noble Gold BBB profile sorts the three by type: one billing, one customer service and one product complaint. The BBB rating and the complaint record are two different things, so the table shows both.
The table lists Noble Gold's BBB record as shown on October 2, 2026.

3 BBB complaints in three years, and what an A+ grade means#
Three complaints in three years is a small number for a seller with 243 BBB reviews, and none of the three is marked unanswered. The BBB uses two status words. "Resolved" means "the complainant verified the issue was resolved to their satisfaction". "Answered" means the business replied, but the customer "did not accept the response" or "did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction". The BBB adds a caution: "The complaint text that is displayed might not represent all complaints filed with BBB."
An A+ is the top of the BBB scale and takes 97 to 100 points. In the BBB's own rating overview, 90 of 100 positive points relate to complaints. Unanswered complaints count for 40, unresolved ones for 30, complaint volume for 15 and delayed resolution for 5. Time in business adds up to 10 more. Customer reviews are not used, and BBB accreditation is a paid membership, not an award.
Whether BBB ratings are reliable for gold IRA companies is covered on our page about rating signals.
Complaint density: Noble Gold against nine other gold IRA companies#
Noble Gold has 1.2 BBB complaints per 100 BBB reviews, a lower rate than six of the nine other gold IRA sellers that SafeOunce tracks. Complaint density is complaints divided by reviews, so big and small sellers can be compared. Only Augusta, Patriot Gold and Advantage Gold show a lower rate.
The table ranks ten gold IRA companies by BBB complaints per 100 BBB reviews (peers as of September 29, 2026; Noble Gold re-read October 2, 2026).
| Company | BBB complaints per 100 BBB reviews |
|---|---|
| Lear Capital | 22.1 |
| American Hartford Gold | 13.9 |
| Priority Gold | 5.9 |
| Goldco | 4.2 |
| Birch Gold | 4.0 |
| Preserve Gold | 1.6 |
| Noble Gold | 1.2 |
| Augusta | 0.7 |
| Patriot Gold | 0 |
| Advantage Gold | 0 (9 reviews) |
Every seller's record is on our page of gold IRA companies rated and ranked.
Counts grow with sales volume, and disputes settled privately or in arbitration never reach the BBB. A low rate is a good sign, not a proof.
The 3 Noble Gold BBB Complaints, Read in Full#
The three BBB complaints against Noble Gold are about three different things: the markup on a $150,000 silver purchase, a customer's doubt about the purity of silver rounds, and sales tax advice. One was resolved; in the other two the customer did not accept Noble's answer or did not reply.
The table summarizes each complaint from the BBB's published text (read October 2, 2026).
| Date filed | BBB type | What the customer says | What Noble says | BBB status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| July 23, 2025 | Billing | Fees "around 40%"; a 5% loss on $150,000 after silver rose 35% | It "does not charge a 40% fee"; the spread is in the signed Shipping and Transaction Agreement; the CEO called the customer | Answered |
| February 16, 2026 | Product | Silver rounds failed a home magnet test; no call back in 3 business days | The customer's own follow-up on February 23, 2026: "I'm satisfied that the silver is pure" | Resolved |
| December 8, 2023 | Customer service | Wrong sales tax guidance on a silver purchase | Its records show staff were "transparent, professional and correct"; the threshold is $2,000 | Answered |
These are the customers' and the company's statements. SafeOunce has not verified either side.
July 2025: "around 40%" in fees on a $150,000 silver purchase (billing, answered)#
A customer wrote on July 23, 2025 that Noble Gold bought silver for the account at about 20% above the spot price and bought it back at about 20% below. The customer writes of being told of a 5% loss on $150,000 after silver had risen about 35%. The spot price is today's market price for one ounce of raw metal. The complaint calls the fees "around 40% without disclosing that number in the very beginning".
The complaint goes on: "I threatened litigation", Noble "split the difference", and "I only owed them about 2.5%". The customer accepted because of a need "to liquidate immediately". To liquidate is to sell. On July 31, 2025 the customer rejected Noble's answer and sent five more questions. One asks: "What are Noble Gold's Fees for purchasing/buying-back/managing" accounts?
Noble replied on July 29, 2025: "Noble Gold Investments does not charge a 40% fee, nor are fees hidden from clients." It says every client signs a Shipping and Transaction Agreement, "which clearly outlines the average spread between purchase and liquidation prices". The spread is the gap between the price you pay and the price a dealer pays you back, as a share of what you paid. Noble dates the purchase to April 2021, when silver spot was "approximately $26.33 per ounce (as of 4/20/2021)". That is the only hard price either side gives. Noble writes that the premium "was in line with industry averages". On the sale, Noble says it beat one competitor's quote "and came very close on the second". On August 6, 2025 it wrote that its CEO "personally reached out" and that the customer "acknowledged" not being charged the fees first named.
The customer says about 3 years passed; Noble's date is about 4 years before the complaint. The BBB status stayed "answered".
What published contracts allow is on gold IRA markups and spreads.
What the numbers in this complaint imply: the break-even math#
The customer's figures imply that about 30 cents of every dollar of metal value went to the gap between Noble's selling and buying prices. Break-even is the price rise at which selling gets you back what you paid. The bid is the price a dealer pays you.
The table shows how much metal must rise before a buyer who sells back breaks even, at four spreads (industry buyback template: bid 4.69% below dealer cost).
| Spread (share of the price paid) | Rise needed to break even |
|---|---|
| 10% | 16.6% |
| 16% | 24.9% |
| 20% | 31.1% |
| 25% | 39.9% |
Illustration from two published dealer contracts (Lear Capital, December 2025; Preserve Gold, June 2025). Noble Gold's own spread is not published.
A 5% loss after a 35% rise matches a spread of about 26% of the price paid under that template. The 2.5% settlement matches about 24%. This is not a finding that Noble's spread is 26%. Published contracts at other sellers allow up to 19.99% on bullion and up to 35% or more on other coins.

February 2026: a purity scare after IRA distributions, and six agreement emails with no call back (product, resolved)#
A customer who rolled a 401(k) into a Noble Gold IRA in April 2020 complained on February 16, 2026 that silver rounds from the account might be fake. The customer withdrew the claim a week later. A rollover moves retirement money from a 401(k) into an IRA. The complaint says Noble arranged the IRA with Equity Trust and a segregated vault. Segregated means your pieces are stored apart from other customers'.
The customer had since taken silver rounds and Platinum Eagles as distributions. A distribution is cash or metal taken out of the IRA. After a home magnet test, the customer asked Noble for a manager on February 12, 2026. The complaint demands the "Replacement value of the coins (6475 in number)".
"It has now been 3 business days and I have not receive any communication attempts," the customer writes. In that time came "6 emailed Docusign Shipping and Transaction agreement pdf forms". DocuSign is an electronic signing service.
On February 23, 2026 the customer wrote: "I'm satisfied that the silver is pure." The same follow-up objects to "a daily request to sign a shipping transaction agreement". It adds: "I am not happy with my purchase but 'satisfied' that the silver is pure."
The product claim was withdrawn. What remains is a service complaint: three business days without a call. So "resolved" here means the purity doubt was settled, not that the customer was happy. If you are sent an agreement to sign, you should ask what it changes and why before you sign it. You are not obliged to sign a new agreement to get an answer.
How taking coins out of the account works is on gold IRA distributions.
December 2023: sales tax advice on a silver purchase (customer service, answered)#
A buyer complained on December 8, 2023 that Noble Gold's staff said how much silver to buy to avoid tax. The buyer later learned that tax can still apply on a sale. The complaint reads: "I purchased the amount she recommended. Later she tells me I have to pay taxes when I sell or use the silver." The buyer also reports emailing the owner and getting no reply.
Noble answered on December 14, 2023. It found its associate "transparent, professional and correct" and said the customer "paid no taxes on the transaction". It found no emails to the owner. On December 19, 2023 the customer asked whether the threshold is $1,500 or $2,000, and Noble answered $2,000. California Regulation 1599 exempts bulk sales of bullion and coins from sales tax. The bulk threshold was $1,500 for older sales and has been $2,000 since 2023 (text read October 2, 2026).
State rules are compared on sales tax on gold and silver by state.
How Noble Gold answers BBB complaints#
Noble Gold replied to the two disputed BBB complaints within six days, and in the largest one its CEO phoned the customer. The third complaint closed after a week, when the customer wrote of being satisfied that the silver was pure. The three points below show what the replies have in common.
- A signed agreement as the answer to price complaints: the charges were "within the commission guidelines disclosed in the Shipping and Transaction Agreement".
- A reminder that "clients are under no obligation to transact with Noble Gold Investments".
- A reduced charge in one case: the customer says the loss was cut from about 5% to about 2.5%.
No complaint is marked unanswered, which is the item that costs the most points in a BBB grade.
What Unhappy Noble Gold Customers Say on Trustpilot: 13 Low-Star Reviews Sorted#
Noble Gold has 13 one- and two-star reviews among 796 on Trustpilot (1.6%), and eight of the 13 are about price or slow replies, as of October 2, 2026. Trustpilot is a public review website, and its TrustScore is a rating from 1 to 5. Noble's TrustScore is 4.9, with 93% five-star, 4% four-star and 1% one-star reviews. Trustpilot adds seven 3.5-star reviews to every company's score.
Thirteen reviews against 796 is a small share. Trustpilot shows that Noble claimed its profile in March 2023, "Replied to 100% of negative reviews" and "Typically replies within 2 weeks". Noble also invites customers to review it, so the 796 include prompted reviews.
The table sorts the 13 low-star reviews by their main complaint (SafeOunce coding, each review counted once).
| Cause | Reviews | Dates shown |
|---|---|---|
| Prices or markups | 4 | February (year unclear), October 2023, February 2024, December 2024 |

Prices and markups higher than expected (4 of 13)#
Four reviewers say they paid more over the metal price than they expected, and that the price was not explained before they bought. The four statements below are quoted from the reviews.
- A first-time buyer (October 2023): "I paid just over 10%" on gold and "more than 16%" on silver.
- A rollover customer (December 2024): "10% of the rollover immediately goes to fees or commissions?"
- A buyer (February 2024): "The exact price of the coins was never discussed and found to be higher than your competitors."
- A former customer: "Overcharges on spread compared to new Broker."
A 10% spread needs a 16.6% rise to break even on a sale back, and 16% needs 24.9%, using the industry buyback template. A 2024 advisory by the CFTC and FINRA says fraudulent dealers have charged spreads of "more than 300 percent", while other dealers may charge "less than 20 percent". The reported 10% and 16% sit below that 20 percent mark. The complaint is that these buyers learned the figure late.
You should ask for the price per coin and the percent over spot in writing before you fund the account. The FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule requires phone sellers to state the total cost before you pay (16 CFR 310.3(a)(1)(i)).
Slow replies and a four-week wait to sell gold in an IRA (4 of 13)#
One Noble Gold customer says it took four weeks and seven contacts to get a sell-back quote in early 2026, and that prices fell in the meantime. A sell-back, or buyback, means selling your metal to the dealer that sold it. The reviewer lists contacts on "1/16, 1/23, 1/28, 2/4, 2/10, 2/11, and 2/12", with a call back on February 12, 2026. That is 27 days. The review says the delay cost "over $120,000 in value", and that Noble's auto-replies stated a period of 5 to 7 days. The dollar figure is the reviewer's. The review does not name the metal or say whether it sat in an IRA.
Three other reviews describe waits. One reviewer waited over a week for an answer on an excess IRA contribution (March 2025); Noble says it was later resolved. One reports slow answers and a promised "freebie silver" not yet received (December 2024). One describes a shipping-address mix-up (November 2024); Noble says that reviewer later gave 5 stars.
Noble replied to the sell-back review on February 26, 2026. It says "automated replies provide estimated timeframes but do not constitute guaranteed service commitments". Buyback inquiries "are addressed in the order received". An earlier reply calls this its "standard first-in, first-out process". Pricing "is established based on the live bid spot rate at the time of confirmation and cannot be locked in advance or applied retroactively".
Before you buy, you should ask how many business days a sell-back takes and when the price is set. If you must sell, put the request in writing with the date and time. The steps and costs of how to sell gold in your IRA are on our selling guide.
A lower first statement, missing serial numbers, packaging and a disputed call (5 of 13)#
The other five low-star reviews cover four topics: account values that fell soon after purchase, bar serial numbers, packaging and one sales call. The four topics are listed below with the reviewers' words.
- Value drops (2 reviews): "my investment suffered a big loss in the first 6 mos" (August 2023) and "I lost $100,000" (October 2023).
- Serial numbers (1 review): "Simply wanted the serial numbers from the bars that were purchased" (March 2024). A serial number is the unique number stamped on a bar.
- Packaging (1 review): a delivery "so loose it rattled" (July 2025).
- A rude call (1 review, February 2026): Noble replies that its phone records show no call to that number since 2024.
The value drops have a cause. The custodian is the trust company that legally holds the IRA and sends statements. It values metal at market value, without the dealer's markup. Equity Trust's disclosure says statement values "do not include any markups, commissions or premiums from the precious metals dealer". Metal prices also move. Why a gold IRA statement shows less than you paid is explained on our statement guide.
Noble Gold Lawsuits: 2 Cases Found, Both Filed by Noble Gold#
Two federal lawsuits involve Noble Gold's company, Golden Bull, LLC, and it filed both: an endorsement dispute in 2023 and a 2023 trademark case against Oxford Gold Group. SafeOunce found no lawsuit filed by a customer and no class action, as of October 2, 2026. So a search for a "Noble Gold lawsuit" leads to two cases filed by Noble Gold, not against it. Three court words help here. The plaintiff is the side that sues. The defendant is the side that is sued. A docket is the court's list of filings in a case.
The table lists every court case found that names Golden Bull, LLC.
| Case | Court and number | Who sued whom | About | Filed | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golden Bull, LLC v. Kirk M. Elliott | C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-06190 | Noble's company sued a Colorado adviser and two of his firms | An endorsement agreement (alleged, per docket summaries) | Moved to federal court July 31, 2023 | Dismissed without prejudice for lack of personal jurisdiction, September 5, 2023 |
| Golden Bull LLC v. Oxford Gold Group, Inc. | C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-10329 | Noble's company sued a rival seller | Alleged trademark infringement | December 8, 2023 | Permanent injunction by agreement, August 26, 2024; case closed |
Golden Bull, LLC v. Kirk M. Elliott (2023): an endorsement dispute dismissed in 36 days#
Golden Bull, LLC v. Kirk M. Elliott, C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-06190, ended on September 5, 2023, when the court dismissed Noble Gold's claims because it had no power over the Colorado defendants. The docket is public: C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-06190. Noble's company was the plaintiff. The defendants were Kirk M. Elliott, Kirk Elliott PhD Private Advisors LLC and K and E Consulting Redesigned. The case began in a California state court and was moved to federal court on July 31, 2023.
According to docket summaries, Golden Bull alleged tortious interference and defamation over an "exclusive endorsement agreement". Tortious interference means wrongly disrupting another firm's contract. Defamation is a false statement that harms a reputation. An endorsement agreement is a contract that pays a public figure to recommend a company. SafeOunce has not read the complaint itself, and these claims were never proven.
The defendants moved to dismiss on August 7, 2023. Two days later, on August 9, 2023, the court issued an order to show cause on subject-matter jurisdiction, a court's power over a type of case. The dismissal order of September 5, 2023 says: "Plaintiff has not met its burden to show that either Defendant is subject to personal jurisdiction in California on either of Plaintiff's claims."
The final judgment reads: "Plaintiff Golden Bull, LLC's claims are DISMISSED without prejudice for lack of personal jurisdiction." Personal jurisdiction is a court's power over a particular defendant. The federal stage lasted 36 days.
No later case between the two was found in searches on October 2, 2026. Who endorses which seller is tracked on celebrity gold IRA endorsements.
Golden Bull, LLC v. Oxford Gold Group (2023-2024): a trademark case that ended in an injunction#
Noble Gold's company sued a rival seller, Oxford Gold Group, for trademark infringement on December 8, 2023. The case ended on August 26, 2024 with a permanent injunction that both sides agreed to. The case is Golden Bull LLC v. Oxford Gold Group, Inc., C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-10329. A trademark is a protected brand name or logo. An injunction is a court order to stop doing something. The docket lists the cause as alleged trademark infringement under 15 U.S.C. 1051. Oxford answered the complaint on January 31, 2024.
The court then entered a "PERMANENT INJUNCTION PURSUANT TO STIPULATION". A stipulation is an agreement between the two sides that the court approves. Under the order, Oxford is "PERMANENTLY ENJOINED AND RESTRAINED from directly or indirectly infringing in any manner the Trademark". The mediator reported that "the case settled before the session occurred". No money award appears on the docket, and any settlement terms are not public. The docket does not say which Noble mark was at issue or what Oxford did. From filing to injunction, the case ran 262 days.
Oxford Gold Group later failed. Two days after the injunction, on August 28, 2024, creditors filed an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition against Oxford Gold Group (Bankr. C.D. Cal. No. 2:24-bk-16947-NB). Chapter 7 is bankruptcy that sells off a company's assets. The court entered the order for relief, the ruling that puts the company into bankruptcy, on October 15, 2024. Nothing in either docket links Noble's case to that bankruptcy.
What happened to that seller's customers is on our page about Oxford Gold Group's Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Customer lawsuits and class actions against Noble Gold: none found#
SafeOunce found no lawsuit filed by a customer against Golden Bull, LLC or Noble Gold Investments, and no class action, in searches on October 2, 2026.
The table lists what was searched, where, and what came back.
| Search | Where | Date | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| "Golden Bull, LLC" (dockets) | CourtListener RECAP archive of federal dockets | Oct. 2, 2026 | 5 hits, 2 relevant, both with Golden Bull as plaintiff |
| "Noble Gold Investments" (dockets) | CourtListener RECAP archive | Oct. 2, 2026 | 1 hit (the Oxford case) |
| Party name "Noble Gold" | CourtListener RECAP archive | Oct. 2, 2026 | 0 |
| "Golden Bull" (court opinions) | govinfo USCOURTS | Sept. 29, 2026 | 0 opinions |
| CFTC, SEC and state regulator releases | Agency sites and web search | Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, 2026 | 0 |
These searches cover federal courts. They do not cover most state courts, and they cannot see private arbitration. Noble's text-message terms require arbitration, so some disputes would never appear in a court file. The Elliott case itself began in a California state court. State filings exist, and these searches reach them only when a case moves to federal court.
Regulator Actions Against Noble Gold: None Found#
SafeOunce found no CFTC, SEC, FTC or state regulator action against Golden Bull, LLC or Noble Gold Investments in searches on September 29 and October 2, 2026. The CFTC is the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the federal agency that sues metals dealers for fraud. The SEC is the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the FTC is the Federal Trade Commission. Every case SafeOunce tracks is in our list of precious metals IRA enforcement actions.
"No action found" is not the same as "approved by regulators". No federal regulator licenses gold dealers. The CFTC polices fraud, but it does not license dealers. So a metals dealer that is "not registered" with the CFTC or the SEC is normal. It proves nothing, good or bad.
Regulator actions can take years to become public, so check again before you buy. The gaps are explained on who regulates gold IRA companies.
Statements on Noble Gold's Own Pages That Conflict With IRA Rules#
Four statements on Noble Gold's own website conflict with the tax rules for IRAs, including one that says you may store IRA gold at home (read September 29, 2026). No customer complaint cites them, but they matter more than any star rating, because following them could cost you tax. A trustee is the bank or trust company that legally holds an IRA. A depository is the vault. A collectible is a coin or item the tax code bars from IRAs unless a listed exception applies. A taxable distribution means the IRS treats the amount as paid out to you and taxes it.
The table sets each statement beside the rule.
| Noble page | What it says | The rule |
|---|---|---|
| Gold IRA page, FAQ | "You have the option to either store your gold at home or at a secure depository in Texas." | IRA bullion must be "in the physical possession of a trustee" (26 U.S.C. 408(m)(3)(B)). | Rare coins page | "we can help you purchase coins to invest into your Gold or Silver IRA", beside Morgan silver dollars | Coins are collectibles unless excepted (26 U.S.C. 408(m)(2)(D), (m)(3)). A collectible bought by an IRA is treated as a distribution |
| Gold IRA page | "Noble Gold is the only custodian offering a flat-fee structure" | Noble is a dealer. The custodian it names is Equity Trust |
| Depository guide | "There are currently 11 IRS-approved depositories", a list that includes First State Depository | The IRS approves no depository. First State was shut by a CFTC restraining order on September 29, 2022 (CFTC release 8606-22) |
The court case is covered on home storage gold IRA.
Noble's homepage says the opposite on storage: IRA metal "must be stored in an IRS-approved depository (not at home)". The pages disagree with each other. Each page and its date are documented in our Noble Gold review.
What Noble Gold's Documents Say About Each Complaint#
Noble Gold publishes website terms and text-message terms, but not the Shipping and Transaction Agreement that customers sign. So most complaint topics cannot be checked against a contract before you call. A Shipping and Transaction Agreement is the purchase contract a metals dealer has you sign.
The table maps each complaint topic to what Noble's public documents say (read September 29 and October 2, 2026) and to three sellers that publish their agreements.
| Complaint topic | Noble Gold: public documents | American Hartford Gold (agreement, Sept. 2026) | Lear Capital (terms, Dec. 2025) | Preserve Gold (agreement, June 2025) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Markup or spread | Not published; the "average spread" is in the signed agreement, per Noble's BBB reply | Bullion 1% to 19.99%; up to 39.99% and 59.99% on other coins | 2% to 35% | Bullion up to 20%; IRA generally up to 34.99% |
| Buyback | Who-we-are page: "guaranteed buyback program", no terms; in practice a queue and no price lock | "applicable laws currently prohibit" a repurchase promise | Law prohibits a repurchase promise | Law prohibits a repurchase promise |
| Cancellation | Not published | 7 days, non-bullion only | 24 hours | 24 hours |
| Disputes | No arbitration clause in website terms; AAA arbitration in text-message terms; purchase agreement not public | JAMS arbitration | JAMS arbitration, 30-day opt-out | JAMS arbitration |
| Claim deadline | Not public | 1 year | 1 year and 1 day | 1 year and 1 day |
All ten sellers are compared on gold IRA company contracts.
Noble's public shipping clause names a competitor: "Goldco shall make reasonable efforts ship metals within five to fourteen (5-14) business days". The same terms say metals "may not be shipped until forty-five (45) business days". The Goldco name suggests copied template text. SafeOunce found no business link between the two firms.
Markups: disclosed only in a Shipping and Transaction Agreement that is not public#
Noble Gold told the BBB in July 2025 that every client signs a Shipping and Transaction Agreement that "clearly outlines the average spread". That agreement is not on its website (October 2, 2026). SafeOunce searched the raw text of four Noble pages on October 2, 2026: terms, support, who-we-are and the text-message program. None mentions the agreement. The site shows no coin prices and no spread. The support page says only: "We offer a flat fee structure when you acquire the metals from us." It gives no percent.
SafeOunce has not read the agreement, so its terms are not rated here.
Buyback: "guaranteed" on one page, a queue and no price lock in practice#
Noble Gold's who-we-are page promises a "guaranteed buyback program" with "No questions, no hassle", but it publishes no buyback price formula or time limit. The page was last modified on February 19, 2026. Its full wording is: "Our guaranteed buyback program removes uncertainty ... if you purchased from us, we'll buy it back." The homepage and the gold IRA page say "top-rated buyback program".
Noble's own reply to the February 2026 review describes the practice. Requests are handled in the order received, auto-replies are estimates, and no price is locked before confirmation. Three published contracts go further. American Hartford Gold, Lear Capital and Preserve Gold each state that the law prohibits a dealer from promising to repurchase.
What each contract promises is on gold IRA buyback programs compared.
Can you sue Noble Gold? Arbitration, cancellation and claim deadlines#
Whether you can sue Noble Gold in court depends on an agreement that is not public; the one dispute clause Noble does publish, in its text-message terms, requires arbitration. Arbitration is a private hearing before a paid arbitrator whose decision is binding. The text-message terms (page modified September 7, 2023) cover disputes with "GOLDEN BULL, LLC dba Noble Gold Investments". Such disputes are "determined by arbitration in ____________ before one arbitrator". The page leaves the place blank.
The clause uses the "Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association" (AAA). It says "Each party shall bear its share of the fees". It adds: "The arbitrator shall have no authority to award punitive damages." Punitive damages are extra money a court can award to punish a wrong. The clause also says "this agreement does not permit class arbitration", and results stay confidential. A class action is one lawsuit for many customers.
This clause covers the text-message program, not metal purchases. Noble's website terms have no arbitration clause and no cancellation window. For context, every dealer agreement SafeOunce has read has an arbitration clause. Consumer filing fees are capped at $225 at AAA and $250 at JAMS.
The three questions below settle what your own agreement says.
- Ask whether the purchase agreement requires arbitration, where, and who pays.
- Ask how many days you have to cancel an order, and from what moment.
- Ask how long you have to bring a claim.
How to Complain About or Report Noble Gold, and Try to Get Money Back#
Start with Noble Gold in writing, then your custodian, then the BBB, and report to a regulator when you believe you were misled about price, risk or tax. A state securities regulator is the state office that polices investment sales.
The table matches each problem to the first place to take it.
| Problem | Contact | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Price, markup or a sale-back dispute | Noble Gold client solutions: ClientSolutions@NobleIRA.com or 877-646-5347 (the contact Noble gives the BBB) | Negotiate. In the July 2025 complaint, the customer says the charge was halved |
| Metal not on your statement, or a fee question | Your custodian (Noble names Equity Trust) | Confirm what the vault holds. Custodians "generally do not evaluate the quality or legitimacy of any investment" (SEC and NASAA investor alert) |
| No answer from Noble | BBB of Los Angeles and Silicon Valley, bbb.org/file-a-complaint | A public complaint. Noble first replied to the two disputed complaints within six days; the third closed after a week |
| Misleading statements about price, markup or risk | CFTC: cftc.gov/complaint or 866-366-2382 | Investigate. It cannot recover money for you directly |
| Told to sell stocks or funds to buy metal | Your state securities regulator (nasaa.org, "Contact Your Regulator") and sec.gov/tcr | Take your report on the sales conduct |
| Age 65 or older and unsure | FINRA Securities Helpline for Seniors, 844-574-3577, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern | Take questions from older investors |
| Unwanted calls or texts | ReportFraud.ftc.gov and donotcall.gov | Record the report |
Which agency handles what is on how to report a gold IRA company.
The five steps below put a complaint in order.
- Gather the invoice, the signed Shipping and Transaction Agreement, your custodian statements and every email.
- Write to Noble with the dates, the amounts and what you want.
- Ask your custodian for a holdings statement.
- File with the BBB if Noble does not answer within the time it gave.
- Report to a regulator and ask a lawyer about the agreement's dispute clause.
A regulator complaint rarely returns money by itself. Restitution is money a court or agency orders returned to customers. The CFTC warns that such orders "may not always result in the recovery of any or all funds".
The deadlines that decide your options#
Three clocks matter in a dispute with Noble Gold: the cancellation window, the claim deadline in your agreement, and the day prices move. The three deadlines are listed below.
- Cancellation window: Noble does not publish one. At sellers that publish one, it runs from 24 hours to 7 days, so you should act the same day.
- Claim deadline: not public for Noble. It is 1 year, or 1 year and 1 day, in the three agreements compared above, so assume one year until you have read yours.
- Price: Noble sets a sell-back price only at confirmation, so every day of waiting carries market risk.
What cancellation, arbitration and restitution can do is explained on how to get your money back from a gold IRA company.
Should Noble Gold's Record Stop You? A Verdict by Situation#
Noble Gold's complaint, court and regulator record is not a reason to rule it out. The complaints show two risks to manage before you buy: an unpublished markup and slow sell-backs. The right answer depends on what matters most to you.
The table gives a verdict for five reader situations.
| Your situation | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You want a seller with few complaints and no regulator history | The record fits | 3 BBB complaints in 3 years; no customer court case and no regulator action found (Oct. 2, 2026) |
| Price matters most | Get the spread in writing first | Two complainants report 10% to "around 40%"; Noble disputes the higher figure |
| You may need to sell fast | Ask for the buyback steps and timing in writing | One reviewer reports a four-week wait in early 2026 |
| You were told you can keep IRA gold at home | You cannot | Rely on 26 U.S.C. 408(m), not on that page |
| You want to read the contract before you call | Ask for it by email | Noble's agreement is not public (Oct. 2, 2026) |
The 12 questions to ask any seller are on how to choose a gold IRA company.
Four events would change this verdict.
- A regulator action or consent order naming Golden Bull, LLC.
- A customer lawsuit or class action.
- BBB complaints left unanswered.
- The Shipping and Transaction Agreement not being provided on request.
Noble Gold's rating and its seven criteria are on its review page; no company can pay to change its rating. The criteria and weights are on how SafeOunce rates gold IRA companies.

Noble Gold endorsements, "best" lists and review sites#
Noble Gold's homepage features actor Kevin Sorbo and media hosts Dave Rubin and Seth Holehouse (September 29, 2026), and its 2023 lawsuit shows that such endorsement deals are business contracts. According to docket summaries, the Elliott case concerned an "exclusive endorsement agreement". Money's editorial list of September 25, 2026 names Noble Gold "Best for Diverse Storage Options". Noble is not in Money's paid partner block. One paid press release that ranks for Noble's name is titled "Lawsuit Analysis" and names no lawsuit.
