Noble Gold Investments and Priority Gold both name Equity Trust as their gold IRA custodian, so yearly account fees can match at $285, as of September 2026. A gold IRA is a retirement account that holds physical metal, and the custodian is the trust company that holds that account for you. What separates the two is the minimum, the markup on the coins, the promotion, the written terms and the complaint record.
The markup, the part of your price that is not metal, is the biggest cost at both companies. Priority Gold puts a range on it; Noble Gold puts no number on it. This page compares two of the gold IRA companies SafeOunce checks, on the same records, and names no overall winner.
The five numbers that separate the two companies most are listed below.
- IRA minimum: $20,000 at Noble Gold vs $10,000 at Priority Gold, per each company's own page (September 29, 2026).
- Account fees: $50 + $285 a year or $80 + $275 a year on two Noble Gold pages vs none published by Priority Gold (September 29, 2026).
- Markup: none published by Noble Gold vs 2% to 7% over spot stated for Priority Gold's bars and bullion coins (re-read November 6, 2026).
- Cancellation: not published by Noble Gold vs 3 business days to 14 days by state at Priority Gold (September 29, 2026).
- BBB complaints in three years: 3 at Noble Gold (October 2, 2026) vs 38 at Priority Gold (September 29, 2026).
Noble Gold vs Priority Gold at a Glance: 20 Facts Side by Side#
The table below compares 20 facts for Noble Gold and Priority Gold, each from the company's own page, a court record or the BBB, with the date checked. The five terms the table uses are defined below.
- Custodian: the trust company that holds your IRA and reports it to the IRS.
- Depository: the vault that stores the metal for the custodian.
- Segregated storage: your own coins, kept apart from other people's.
- BBB accreditation: a paid membership with the Better Business Bureau, separate from the BBB's letter grade.
- Consignment: the dealer sells your coins to another buyer for you and keeps a fee.

Table T1: Noble Gold Investments vs Priority Gold: 20 facts, checked September 29 to November 6, 2026.
"Not published" means we found nothing on the company's website. Our Noble Gold Investments review covers the company alone.
The founding claims in row 2 point in opposite directions: Noble's run ahead of its 2016 records, and Priority's fall short of its 2001 BBB start. The Priority Gold review covers Priority alone.
Other ranking pages print a $5,000 Noble Gold minimum and a $20,000 Priority Gold IRA minimum. Noble's own page says $20,000 ($5,000 is where its Survival Packs start), and Priority's FAQ says $10,000. One page calls Noble's $80 an annual fee; both visible Noble fee pages list it as a one-time setup fee. Another lists a Priority money-back guarantee that Priority's own disclaimer does not offer.
How Do Noble Gold and Priority Gold Fees Compare?#
Noble Gold publishes its account fees on two pages that disagree, and Priority Gold publishes none, but both name the same custodian, so the yearly bill can match. Account fees are the flat yearly bills for the custodian and the vault. The markup is a share of every dollar you spend on metal. Which cost is bigger?
The markup usually is. One point of markup on $100,000 is $1,000, more than three years of a $285 account fee. Every cost layer, from setup to exit, is in our guide to gold IRA fees.
Account fees: two Noble Gold fee pages vs none at Priority Gold#
One Noble Gold page lists $80 to set up and $275 a year, another lists $50 and $285, and Priority Gold lists none (September 29, 2026). The table below sets the two Noble Gold pages next to Priority Gold.
| Fee line | Noble support page (modified 2026-09-14) | Noble gold IRA page (modified 2026-07-27) | Priority Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup | $80 | $50 | Not published |
| Yearly custodial fee | $125 | $125 | Not published |
| Yearly storage (segregated) | $150 | $160 | Not published |
| Yearly total | $275 | $285 | Not published |
| Year 1 total | $355 | $335 | Not published |
| Account closure | Not listed | $250 | Not published |

| Wire | Not listed | $30 | Not published |
Table T2: Account fees as published, read September 29, 2026, and re-read November 6, 2026.
Noble's support page says: "There is a one-time $80 setup fee, followed by a flat annual rate of $275. This includes $125 for custodial services and $150 for secure, segregated storage." A flat fee is the same dollar amount at any account size.
Noble's support page adds, "We do not recommend commingled storage." Commingled storage pools your coins with other people's. Priority's FAQs name no fee and refer you to the custodian.
The custodian both companies name: Equity Trust's $285 a year#
Noble Gold sends gold IRAs to Equity Trust, and two Priority Gold articles name Equity Trust as its custodian, so both accounts can run on the same fee schedule. Noble's support page says, "Our team will work with Equity Trust IRA, your self-directed IRA custodian." A Priority article of September 15, 2026, says: "We work with Equity Trust Company ... as custodian, and Delaware Depository for storage."
The same Priority article (re-read November 6, 2026) adds "a $50 account set-up fee on Equity Trust's published metals schedule". So Priority itself points to that schedule, though it confirms only the setup line. A fee schedule is the custodian's dated price list. The table below compares Equity Trust's metals-only schedule with Noble's gold IRA page.
| Fee line | Equity Trust FS-0004-05 Rev. 081726 | Noble gold IRA page |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | $50 | $50 |
| Yearly account fee | $125 | $125 |
| Storage, segregated | $160 a year | $160 a year |
| Storage, non-segregated | $110 a year | Not offered |
| Sale (liquidation) | $30 | Not listed |
| Wire | $30 | $30 |
| In-kind distribution or transfer out | $125 | $75 |
| Closing the account | $250 | $250 |
| 10 years at $100,000, closure and one wire out, segregated | $3,180 | $3,180 |
| Same, non-segregated | $2,680 | Not offered |
Table T3: Equity Trust's metals-only fee schedule and Noble Gold's gold IRA page, read September 29, 2026. Segregated total: $50 setup + 10 × $285 + $30 wire + $250 closure. A sale through the custodian adds $30 more.
An in-kind distribution means taking the coins themselves out of the IRA. Noble Gold's gold IRA page matches Equity Trust's schedule on five of six lines, which suggests Noble passes the custodian's fees through. If Priority Gold opens your account on the same schedule with segregated storage, the account fees would be the same $3,180 over ten years, or $2,680 without segregation.
Ask each company which Equity Trust schedule and revision date applies to your account. The four schedules behind Equity Trust precious metals IRA fees differ by how the account is opened.
Noble sends silver IRAs to "New Direction IRA Services", now New Direction Trust Company, which lists $220 a year for metals administration ($185 online) and $130 per purchase or sale, plus storage (September 29, 2026).
Priority Gold names no separate silver custodian. Fees at New Direction Trust Company have their own page.
The markup: price ranges at Priority Gold, a "flat fee" with no number at Noble Gold#
Priority Gold's catalog says bullion coins "typically run 4-7% over spot", while Noble Gold publishes no price, no range and no percentage for its coins. The spot price is today's market price for one ounce of raw metal. The premium over spot is what a dealer adds on top, and the spread is the share of your price that is not metal.
Priority's catalog adds that bars run "usually 2-4% over spot". Proof coins, the polished collector versions, carry "significantly higher premiums". The catalog shows no dollar prices and asks you to "Call us for a live quote" (September 29, 2026). Priority's ETF article gives a second, matching figure: premiums "commonly 2% to 7% on a 1 oz American Gold Eagle" (re-read November 6, 2026).
The table below turns Priority's stated ranges into metal value per $100,000 spent.
| Product type | Priority Gold's stated premium | Metal value at spot per $100,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Gold bars | 2% to 4% over spot | $96,154 to $98,039 |
| Bullion coins (Eagles, Maple Leafs) | 4% to 7% over spot | $93,458 to $96,154 |
| Proofs and limited issues | "significantly higher" | Not computable |
Table T4: Ranges are Priority Gold's general catalog statements (read September 29 and November 6, 2026), not a quote for your order.
Noble Gold's support page says only: "We offer a flat fee structure when you acquire the metals from us." Its homepage claims the "Lowest fees in the industry". In a BBB reply of July 29, 2025, Noble wrote that every client signs a Shipping and Transaction Agreement "which clearly outlines the average spread".
Priority's range covers bullion only, not every product. Of 15 operating sellers SafeOunce checked, 4 publish a spread range (October 2, 2026). Every published range is in gold IRA markups and spreads.
How much must gold rise to cover the markup?#
At a 20% spread, gold must rise about 31% before a sale back returns your money; at Priority Gold's stated 4% to 7% bullion premium, about 9% to 12%. The table below adds the dealer's buyback gap to each spread.
| Spread you pay | Rise needed to get your money back |
|---|---|
| 5% | 10.4% |
| 10% | 16.6% |
| 20% | 31.1% |
| 30% | 49.9% |
Table T5: Industry buyback template: the dealer's bid sits 4.69% below its own cost (Lear Capital terms, December 2025; Preserve Gold agreement, June 2025). Neither company publishes its own bid.
A 4% to 7% premium equals a spread of 3.8% to 6.5% of the price you pay, which needs a rise of about 9.1% to 12.3%. At Noble Gold, one July 2025 BBB complaint gives figures that imply about 30 cents of every dollar of metal value went to the buy-sell gap. Those are the customer's figures, which Noble disputes. Run your own spread in the gold IRA break-even calculator.
Free silver up to $15,000 vs a free gold coin: what each promotion is worth#
Priority Gold offers IRA clients "up to $15,000 in free silver" without saying how much you must invest, and Noble Gold shows a "free gold coin" banner whose only terms are "Act now while supplies last". Both offers were on the companies' pages on November 6, 2026.
Priority's special-offers page says "the amount of free silver scales with the size of your investment". Its footnote says offers "require a minimum qualifying investment" and are "subject to change or cancellation without notice". It adds: "Free silver is delivered to you outside of your IRA, is not tax-deferred, and may be taxable."
The table below shows what a $15,000 bonus is worth at a buyback bid, the price a dealer pays to buy coins back.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Assumptions | Plain bullion at a 5% spread; bonus silver carries a 20% spread; sale at the template bid (95.3125% of dealer cost); the full $15,000 assumed to come with the order shown, which Priority Gold does not state |
| Bonus value at a buyback bid | $11,438 |
| Plain bullion order of $100,000, sold back the same day | $90,547 |
| Break-even coin spread, $100,000 order | about 17.0% |
| Break-even coin spread, $250,000 order | about 9.8% |
Table T6: Hypothetical. Priority Gold does not publish the order size each bonus amount needs.
The bonus leaves you ahead only if the coins you must buy carry a spread of about 17% or less on a $100,000 order, or about 10% on $250,000. The FTC's guide on "free" offers says a seller should not recover the cost "by marking up the price of the article which must be purchased" (16 CFR 251.1).
Noble Gold's banner sits on its depository guide. In a paid press release (February 27, 2026), Noble's CEO called free silver offers of "$10,000, $15,000, or $20,000" "a massive red flag". The release names no company. How free silver gold IRA promotions are paid for is explained step by step.
Minimum Investment: $20,000 at Noble Gold vs $10,000 at Priority Gold#
Noble Gold's gold IRA page sets a $20,000 minimum, and Priority Gold's FAQ says its IRA minimum is typically $10,000, as of September 29, 2026. Noble's page reads, "Our Gold IRA minimum investment is $20,000" (re-read November 6, 2026); cash purchases start at $10,000.
Priority's FAQ reads: "Our minimum investment is typically $5,000 for cash purchases and $10,000 for IRAs, but this may vary based on product selection and account type." Priority gives three other answers, listed below.
| Priority Gold source | What it says | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Catalog FAQ | Direct purchases: "no fixed minimum"; IRAs: "we generally recommend a minimum funding amount" (no figure) | 2026-09-29 |
| Forbes Advisor | $25,000 for an IRA, "according to a Priority Gold spokesperson" | 2026-07-20 |
| Special offers | "minimum qualifying investment" (no figure) | 2026-11-06 |
Table: Priority Gold's other minimum answers.
The IRS sets no minimum, and the 2026 IRA contribution limit is $7,500, plus $1,100 at age 50 or older (IRS Notice 2025-67), so most of these accounts start with a transfer or rollover from an existing plan. Every published figure is in gold IRA minimums by company.
What each minimum means for fee drag#
At Noble Gold's $20,000 minimum, its $275 to $285 a year takes 1.375% to 1.425% of the account; at Priority Gold's $10,000, Equity Trust's metals-only fees would take 2.35% to 2.85% if your account is on that schedule. Fee drag is the share of your account that the yearly fees take. The table below shows it at four balances.
| Balance | Noble Gold ($275 to $285 a year) | Priority Gold at Equity Trust ($235 to $285 a year) |
|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | Not available (below minimum) | 2.35% to 2.85% |
| $20,000 | 1.375% to 1.425% | 1.175% to 1.425% |
| $25,000 | 1.10% to 1.14% | 0.94% to 1.14% |
| $100,000 | 0.275% to 0.285% | 0.235% to 0.285% |
Table T7: Priority Gold's column assumes Equity Trust's metals-only schedule; Priority publishes no fees.
Cheaper routes for small balances are in best gold IRA companies for small investors.
Forbes Advisor (July 20, 2026) reports first-year IRA fees waived at a $25,000 minimum. Priority's offer page says only "complimentary shipping and fully insured storage" for qualifying new clients, with terms by phone (read November 6, 2026). A free first year saves about $285 to $335 at Equity Trust, while a markup 3 points higher costs $300 on $10,000.
Less than $10,000? A gold ETF may cost less#
With less than $10,000, neither company states it will open a gold IRA for you, and a gold ETF in an existing IRA costs less each year. A gold ETF is a fund that holds gold and trades like a stock. Its yearly cost is its expense ratio: 0.10% for GLDM, 0.25% for IAU and 0.40% for GLD (September 29, 2026). The costs are set out in gold IRA vs gold ETF.
Buyback, Cancellation and Delivery: What Each Company Puts in Writing#
Priority Gold publishes a buyback fee, state cancellation notices and a delivery estimate; Noble Gold publishes a "guaranteed" buyback without terms and a 45-business-day shipping clause. Disputes turn on the signed documents, though Priority's refund page adds that its agreement does not "disclaim oral representations", so what the salesperson said can still count.
Buyback wording: "guaranteed" vs "we cannot promise you a set price"#
Noble Gold's who-we-are page calls its buyback "guaranteed" without a price formula, while Priority Gold's policy opens with "we cannot promise you a set price". A buyback is the dealer buying your metal back for cash. The table below quotes each company's wording.
| Company | Exact wording | Page and date | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Noble Gold | "Our guaranteed buyback program removes uncertainty ... if you purchased from us, we'll buy it back. No questions, no hassle." | Who-we-are page (modified 2026-02-19), read 2026-09-29 | A promise to buy, with no price or formula |
| Noble Gold | "top-rated buyback program" | Homepage and gold IRA page, 2026-09-29 | Marketing, no terms |
| Noble Gold | "We offer a Buyback program to ensure that you are not left with finding a buyer" | Support page, 2026-09-29 | No price or timing |
| Noble Gold | "we'll buy back your coins at a fair price" | Rare-coins page, 2026-09-29 | "Fair" is not defined |
| Priority Gold | "While we cannot promise you a set price, we can promise you a market under one of our three buy back avenues" | Buy-back policy, 2026-09-29 | Three routes, no fixed price |
| Priority Gold | Avenue 2: "the current wholesale bid price"; avenue 3: consignment "fee of 18%" | Buy-back policy, 2026-09-29 | A stated price source and a stated fee |
| Priority Gold | Priority "intends to offer to buyback the metals it sells but cannot guarantee it will repurchase metals at any particular time or price" | Site disclaimer, 2026-11-06 | No promise of a sale at all |
Table T8: Buyback wording on each company's pages.
The wholesale bid is the price a large dealer pays for metal. Five dealer contracts SafeOunce has read say the law prohibits guaranteeing repurchase: American Hartford Gold, Lear Capital, Preserve Gold, Goldline and American Bullion.
Custodian fees and taxes also cut what you keep when you sell gold in your IRA.
In a February 26, 2026 reply to a Trustpilot review, Noble wrote that sale requests "are addressed in the order received", priced on the live bid "at the time of confirmation". Other firms' wording is in gold IRA buyback programs compared.
The 18% consignment fee, costed#
On $100,000 of collector coins bought at a 35% spread, Priority Gold's consignment returns $82,000 after five years at an unchanged retail price, against about $61,953 at a wholesale bid. Numismatic (collector) coins are priced as collectibles, not by metal. Priority offers consignment only on non-bullion coins bought from it and "held for 60 months or longer".
| Route | What you get for $100,000 | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Plain bullion at a 5% spread, wholesale bid | $90,547 | Any time |
| Collector coins at a 35% spread, wholesale bid | About $61,953 | Any time ("a lower price", per Priority) |
| Collector coins, consignment at 18% | $82,000 | Only after 60 months, only if a buyer is found, retail price unchanged |
Table T9: Hypothetical. The 35% spread is an assumption; Priority Gold publishes none for these coins.
For consignment to return the full $100,000, the coins' retail price must rise 21.95% first. Noble Gold publishes no consignment option or buyback fee to compare. The 35% row is the cost of numismatic coin upsells.
Cancellation windows: none published vs 3 business days to 14 days by state#
Noble Gold publishes no cancellation window, while Priority Gold's refund page lists windows for 37 states and Guam, from 3 business days to 14 days, as of September 29, 2026. Priority's state notices use five kinds of window, listed below.
- 3 business days from delivery of the goods.
- 3 days, not counting Sundays and holidays.
- 3 business days from the written invoice, for first-time buyers in some states, such as Idaho and New Mexico.
- 7 or 8 days after receipt.
- 14 days in Kentucky, for sales made from an unsolicited phone call.
Thirteen states have no section: Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (Priority's home state) and Washington. Priority's disclaimer also allows no returns "other than counterfeit coins returned in their original holders within ninety (90) days of purchase", so outside a state window, only fake coins can go back.
For IRA purchases, Priority's refund page says receipt is "the date that Priority issues a notice of transfer to Customer (regardless of when Customer obtains actual knowledge of receipt)".
Noble Gold publishes no window, so ask for one in writing before you pay.
Under Treas. Reg. 1.408-6(d)(4)(ii), you get at least 7 days to revoke a new IRA (eCFR). That right runs against the custodian, not the dealer. Our page on how to cancel a gold IRA separates the IRS right from the dealer's terms.
Delivery times: up to 45 business days vs 10 to 14#
Noble Gold's website terms allow shipping up to 45 business days after funds clear, while Priority Gold's FAQ says IRA deliveries generally finish within 10 to 14 business days. Forty-five business days is about nine weeks. Good funds means money that has cleared.
Noble's terms (changed February 12, 2025, read September 29, 2026) say: "Goldco shall make reasonable efforts ship metals within five to fourteen (5-14) business days after receipt of good funds." Metals "may not be shipped until forty-five (45) business days". The same terms say "The testimonials presented on goldco.com are applicable to the individuals writing them", so the Goldco text runs past one sentence. SafeOunce found no business link between the two firms. Noble's terms also say personal checks take "a minimum of twelve (12) days to clear", which comes before the shipping clock starts.
Priority's FAQ says IRA delivery is "generally completed within 10 to 14 business days after account setup", and cash orders "typically ship within 5 to 10 business days" (re-read November 6, 2026). As a benchmark, the CFTC treats delivery within 28 days as "actual delivery" (CFTC release 8215-20, August 4, 2020). Noble's 45-business-day ceiling runs past that line.
How to check delivery of IRA metal is on our checklist.
Contracts, custodians and vaults#
Neither Noble Gold nor Priority Gold publishes the purchase agreement you sign, so the clauses on price, disputes and claim deadlines cannot be read before you call. Noble's "Shipping and Transaction Agreement", named in its July 2025 BBB reply, is not on its site (searched October 2, 2026). Noble's website terms contain no arbitration clause and refund or replace lost parcels "in its sole discretion".
Noble's text-message terms (modified September 7, 2023) send disputes to "arbitration in ____________ before one arbitrator" under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), with the place left blank. The terms also bar class arbitration and punitive damages. In plain English: a dispute goes to a private hearing, not a court, and you cannot join other customers in one claim. Our table of gold IRA company contracts compared shows the clauses at firms that do publish them.
At Priority Gold, the refund page says you owe nothing "unless you sign the Customer Agreement", and the agreement itself is not public. The order compelling arbitration in the Hamilton case suggests the Customer Agreement has an arbitration clause.
Noble's support page says IRA metal is held at International Depository Services in Dallas, New Castle (Delaware) and Mississauga (Ontario), in segregated storage, under an "all-risk policy underwritten by Lloyd's of London" with no published limit. Get "segregated" on the custodian's storage record. Priority says "Delaware Depository is our storage partner", and its catalog names Delaware, Brink's or IDS as typical. Locations and cover for International Depository Services (IDS) are on its own page.
Depository insurance pays the metal's value, not the premium you paid, and FDIC and SIPC never cover IRA metal. Noble's Ontario vault sits "just outside of Toronto", and no IRS ruling covers IRA gold stored outside the US, so ask for a US vault in writing. Whether IRA gold can be stored offshore is explained on our offshore page.
Complaints, Lawsuits and Regulatory Records Compared#
Noble Gold has 3 BBB complaints in three years and Priority Gold has 38 (September 29 to October 2, 2026), and we found no regulator action against either.
The counts show how often customers escalate, not how much they paid. The Noble Gold Investments complaints, lawsuits and BBB record page reads each Noble complaint in full.
BBB and Trustpilot: 3 vs 38 complaints in three years#
Measured per 100 BBB reviews, Noble Gold shows 1.2 complaints and Priority Gold 5.9, about five times as many, as of September 29 to October 2, 2026. We call this complaint density. The table below sets out both records.
| Measure | Noble Gold (BBB 2026-10-02) | Priority Gold (BBB 2026-09-29) |
|---|---|---|
| BBB grade | A+ | A+ on both profiles |
| BBB accreditation | Since 2017-01-23 | Dallas since 2023-12-18; Beverly Hills not accredited |
| Complaints in 3 years | 3 | 38 |
| In the last 12 months | 1 | 13 |
| Status | 1 resolved, 2 answered | 32 resolved, 6 answered |
| BBB reviews | 243 | 648 |
| Complaints per 100 reviews | 1.2 | 5.9 |
| Trustpilot | 4.9 from 796 reviews (2026-09-29) | 4.9 from 365 reviews (2026-10-02) |
| Trustpilot five-star / one-star share | 93% / 1% | 93% / 2% |
| Invites reviews | Yes | Yes |
Table T10: BBB and Trustpilot records; per-100 figures are SafeOunce computations.
On the BBB, "resolved" means "the complainant verified the issue was resolved to their satisfaction"; "answered" means the business replied but the customer did not accept or did not confirm. Priority's 38 complaints fall into seven BBB labels: product 17, service or repair 8, sales and advertising 5, customer service 3, delivery 3, billing 1 and order 1. Noble's 3 are one each for billing, customer service and product. Each category is broken down on Priority Gold complaints, lawsuits and BBB record.
Counts grow with sales volume, which neither company publishes, and disputes sent to arbitration may never reach the BBB. Star ratings do not separate these two: both show 4.9, with the same 93% five-star share. Why is covered in BBB, BCA and Trustpilot ratings.
What the complaints say: one price dispute at each company#
The largest complaint at each company is about price: an "around 40%" gap on $150,000 of silver at Noble Gold, and proof coins that lost about half at Priority Gold. Both are customers' statements; SafeOunce has verified neither side.
At Noble Gold, a customer wrote on July 23, 2025 that Noble bought silver at about 20% over spot and bought it back at about 20% under. The customer calls the fees "around 40% without disclosing that number in the very beginning", and says Noble "split the difference" to about 2.5%. Noble replied on July 29, 2025 that it "does not charge a 40% fee, nor are fees hidden from clients", and that the spread is in the signed agreement. The BBB lists the complaint as answered.
At Priority Gold, a complaint published July 15, 2024 says the customer rolled over $48,912.34 in December 2021. The customer says proof Silver Eagles bought at $143.95 each later sold for an average of $72.91, which is $71.04, or 49.4%, less per coin (SafeOunce computation from the customer's figures). The customer adds that a proof Gold Eagle set bought for $7,392.13 had a market value "in the low $4,000.00s". The BBB marks it resolved, and the customer later wrote, "This case has been successfully resolved." That proof set appeared in Priority's catalog with an "IRA ELIGIBLE" badge on September 29, 2026.
Lawsuits: two cases filed by Noble Gold, one arbitration order for Priority Gold#
Both federal cases involving Noble Gold's company were filed by Noble Gold, and the one case found against Priority Gold was sent to private arbitration on February 19, 2026. A plaintiff is the party that sues, and a docket is the court's list of filings. The table below lists all three cases.
| Case | Court and number | Who sued whom, and about what | Filed | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Golden Bull, LLC v. Kirk M. Elliott | C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-06190 | Noble's company sued a Colorado adviser and two firms; alleged tortious interference and defamation over an "exclusive endorsement agreement" (per docket summaries) | Removed to federal court 2023-07-31 | Dismissed without prejudice for lack of personal jurisdiction, 2023-09-05 |
| Golden Bull LLC v. Oxford Gold Group, Inc. | C.D. Cal. No. 2:23-cv-10329 | Noble's company sued another gold seller; alleged trademark infringement | 2023-12-08 | Permanent injunction by stipulation, 2024-08-26; no money award on the docket; case closed |
| Hamilton v. Priority Gold, LLC and Bayside Metal Exchange | Collin County, Texas, No. 493-08644-2025 | A customer sued Priority Gold; a general commercial case; claims not described (SafeOunce has not read the petition) | 2025-10-28 | Motion to compel arbitration granted 2026-02-19, case abated, according to the court docket as summarized by Trellis; arbitration outcome not found |
Table T11: Court records found for both companies, searched October 2, 2026.
Dismissed without prejudice means the case may be filed again elsewhere. An injunction is a court order to stop doing something, and a stipulation is an agreement of both sides. To compel arbitration is to send a dispute to a private hearing, and abated means paused.
Federal searches on October 2, 2026 found no suit by a Noble Gold customer and no class action; they do not reach most state courts or any arbitration.
Regulator actions: none found for either company#
We found no CFTC, SEC, FTC or state regulator action against Golden Bull, LLC or Priority Gold LLC in searches on September 29 and October 2, 2026. Every case we track is in our list of gold IRA enforcement actions.
The sweep covered CFTC and SEC releases and California and Texas regulators, not all 50 states. Two lookalike names are different firms: "Priority Wealth Advisors, Inc." (a California DFPI consent order) and "Noble Wealth" (a 1998 CFTC case).
IRA rules on their own websites: home storage, collector coins and a Krugerrand#
Both companies' websites carry statements that IRA rules do not support: Noble Gold's offers home storage for IRA gold, and Priority Gold's catalog still lists the Krugerrand as "IRA-approved". The table below sets each statement against the rule.
| # | Company and page | What it says | Date read | The rule |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Noble gold IRA page FAQ | "You have the option to either store your gold at home or at a secure depository in Texas." | Still live 2026-11-06 | IRA bullion must be "in the physical possession of a trustee" (26 U.S.C. 408(m)(3)(B)); home storage was treated as a taxable distribution in McNulty v. Commissioner, 157 T.C. No. 10 (2021) |
| 2 | Noble homepage | Metals "must be stored in an IRS-approved depository (not at home)" | 2026-09-29 | "Not at home" is right; the IRS approves no depository |
| 3 | Noble gold and silver IRA pages | "1854 Kellogg $20 Coin" and "Morgan Silver Dollars (NGC MS68)" under the heading "Ira-Approved" | 2026-10-02 | Coins are collectibles unless 26 U.S.C. 408(m)(3) excepts them; neither coin is named there |
| 4 | Noble gold IRA page | "Noble Gold is the only custodian offering a flat-fee structure" | 2026-11-06 | Noble is the dealer; Equity Trust is the custodian |
| 5 | Priority catalog FAQ | Krugerrands listed among products that meet the requirements; "They are IRA-approved" | 2026-11-06 | The Krugerrand is .9167 fine and not a named US coin, so it fails both routes; Priority's own product page said "IRA Approved: No" on 2026-10-02 |
| 6 | Priority special offers | "IRS-approved depository" | 2026-11-06 | The IRS approves no depository; Priority's reviews FAQ correctly says IRA metals must be "stored in an approved, secure depository" |
Table T12: Website statements against the tax code. This page reports page text, not how either company stores or sells to anyone.
A taxable distribution is a withdrawal the IRS taxes as income; the court case is explained under home storage gold IRA. A collectible is an item the tax code bars from IRAs, such as most old coins, and a named coin is one the law lists, such as the American Gold Eagle. Fineness is the share of pure metal.
Priority removed the IRA badge from the Krugerrand between September 29 and October 2, 2026, but its catalog FAQ still calls it "IRA-approved". Why the coin fails is set out in Krugerrands in an IRA.
Noble Gold or Priority Gold: Which Company Fits Your Situation?#
Neither company is better for everyone: the right one depends on how much you are moving, whether you want the free silver, and which written terms matter to you. The table below matches eleven common situations to the record.
| Your situation | What the records point to | Deciding fact |
|---|---|---|
| Under $10,000 | Neither states it opens accounts this small; compare a gold ETF | Minimums of $20,000 and $10,000 |
| $10,000 to $19,999 | Only Priority Gold's FAQ allows it; ask for bullion only | Equity Trust fees would take about 1.2% to 2.9% a year at this size |
| $20,000 or more, plain bullion | Either; ask both for the percent over spot on the same day | Priority's 4% to 7% coin range gives you a benchmark |
| You want the free silver | Only if Priority puts the coin prices in writing | A spread of about 17% or less on $100,000; the silver sits outside the IRA and may be taxable |
| You want a silver IRA | Noble names New Direction for silver; Priority names no separate silver custodian | New Direction charges $220 a year ($185 online) plus $130 per purchase or sale; ask Priority which custodian holds silver |
| You want a written right to cancel | Priority publishes state notices; Noble publishes none | Residents of the 13 unlisted states ask first |
| You want the fewest complaints | Noble Gold | 1.2 vs 5.9 per 100 BBB reviews; counts grow with sales volume |
| You may need to sell collector coins | Priority publishes an 18% consignment route after 60 months | Noble publishes no buyback terms |
| You want delivery fast and in writing | Priority states 10 to 14 business days | Noble's terms allow up to 45 |
| You want a US vault only | Say so in writing at Noble Gold | Noble also lists a vault in Canada |
| You want to read the contract first | Neither publishes it | Ask both to email it before you fund |
Table T13: Verdict by situation, based on records read September 29 to November 6, 2026.
The pattern is simple. Noble Gold publishes its account fees but not its prices, buyback terms, cancellation window or a short delivery limit. Priority Gold publishes those but not its account fees.
SafeOunce scores companies on public records and a written quote requested the way a buyer would. Noble Gold has a provisional result of 37 of 53 points checked, and Priority Gold 28 of 45 (October 2, 2026). A result stays provisional until all 100 points are checked, so we name no overall winner. The scoring rules are in how SafeOunce rates gold IRA companies. No company can pay to change its rating or its place on our lists.

What Should You Ask Noble Gold or Priority Gold Before You Sign?#
Ask both companies the same six questions in writing, on the same day, before you move any retirement money. The six questions are listed below.
- Ask for the price of each coin and its percent over spot.
- Ask what the company would pay you for the same coins tomorrow, and how many days a sale takes.
- Ask which Equity Trust fee schedule applies, with its revision date, and at Noble Gold whether it is $275 or $285 a year.
- Ask for the cancellation window, when it starts and whether it covers bullion.
- Ask for the purchase agreement by email before you pay.
- Ask Priority Gold how much free silver your order earns and what the coins that earn it cost.
Put both written quotes side by side in our gold IRA company comparison tool.
The law backs question 1. Under the Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 CFR 310.3(a)(1)(i), a telemarketer must disclose the total cost and quantity before you pay. Section 310.6(b)(5) keeps precious metals investment offers under the rule even when you called first (16 CFR 310).
All 12 questions are in how to choose a gold IRA company. Keep each answer in an email; a phone promise is hard to prove.
How are review sites and spokespeople paid to recommend Noble Gold or Priority Gold?#
Both companies run affiliate programs that pay websites for referrals, and neither publishes how much it pays. An affiliate is a website paid when a reader contacts a company. Noble's sign-up page promises "huge payouts" (September 29, 2026); Priority's Everflow terms, dated "05.01.2026", pay "on a Net 30 basis".
Money's editorial list (September 25, 2026) names Noble Gold "Best for Diverse Storage Options"; Priority Gold appears only in Money's paid "Our Partner" block. In Orion v. Money Group, C.D. Cal. No. 2:26-cv-07092, filed June 29, 2026, Orion alleges money.com was "paid by these companies to rank their businesses as a top choice". The complaint names Priority Gold among five companies, not Noble Gold. The claims are allegations; the case is pending, with no ruling known as of September 29, 2026. We explain the whole system in are gold IRA reviews paid.
Many review pages are paid when you contact a company; see who pays SafeOunce. SafeOunce takes no money from any company named on this page.
Is Robert Kiyosaki paid by Priority Gold?#
Yes: Priority Gold's website disclaimer, read November 6, 2026, says "Robert Kiyosaki is a paid spokesperson for Priority Gold". Its Kiyosaki page is titled "Priority Gold Is Robert Kiyosaki's Only Gold Partner", and on September 29, 2026 it said "A real financial voice, not a paid actor". Priority's website terms also say testimonialists "MAY be affiliated with COMPANY as Marketing Affiliates", with a connection "in the form of Commissions". Under the FTC's endorsement guides (16 CFR 255), a paid tie to the seller is a material connection that must be disclosed.
Who is paid by whom is listed under celebrity gold IRA endorsements.
Who are Noble Gold's spokespeople?#
Noble Gold's homepage features actor Kevin Sorbo and media hosts Dave Rubin and Seth Holehouse, and it does not say whether they are paid, as of September 29, 2026. Noble's 2023 lawsuit over an "exclusive endorsement agreement" shows these deals are business contracts. The CFTC warns in general that fraudulent dealers "target their ads to political or religious programming just to gain your trust" (CFTC release 8881-24). This is not an allegation against either company.
How do Noble Gold and Priority Gold compare with other gold IRA companies?#

Is Noble Gold legit?#
Yes: Noble Gold Investments, legally Golden Bull, LLC, has an A+ BBB grade, 3 complaints in three years and no regulator action found, as of October 2, 2026. Legit is not the same as cheap: its coin prices are unpublished. The full answer to is Noble Gold legit is on its record page.
What is the minimum investment for Noble Gold?#
Noble Gold's IRA minimum is $20,000 and its cash-purchase minimum is $10,000, per its gold IRA page (September 29, 2026, re-read November 6, 2026). Pages that print $2,000 or $5,000 are wrong; $5,000 is the starting price of Noble's Survival Packs, not its IRA minimum. Both fee pages are in our review of Noble Gold fees and minimums.
Who owns Noble Gold and Priority Gold?#
Noble Gold is run by founder, president and CEO Collin Plume; Priority Gold does not publish its owner, and the BBB names Michael Anderson as chief operating officer. California records list Collin Plume as registered agent of Golden Bull, LLC. Leaders and legal names are in our Priority Gold reviews page.
Can you keep Noble Gold or Priority Gold metals at home?#
No: metal in a gold IRA must stay with the trustee (the custodian), and taking it home is a taxable distribution under McNulty v. Commissioner, 157 T.C. No. 10 (2021). Metal you buy with cash outside an IRA can be delivered to your home at either company.
What is the best gold to put in an IRA?#
The tax code decides which gold an IRA may hold: named US coins such as the Gold Eagle, or bullion at least .995 fine held by a trustee (26 U.S.C. 408(m)(3)). For cost, 1-ounce bullion coins and bars carry the lowest premiums; Priority's catalog gives 2% to 4% for bars and 4% to 7% for coins. Every coin is checked in our IRA-eligible precious metals database.
Why do Dave Ramsey and Warren Buffett say no to gold?#
Both point out that gold pays no income and has earned less than stocks over the long run; our critics page tests that claim with dated numbers. The numbers are on why Dave Ramsey and Warren Buffett say no to gold.
