Priority Gold is a real, operating gold IRA seller, legally Priority Gold LLC of Dallas, Texas. It has an A+ BBB grade, 38 BBB complaints in three years, one lawsuit sent to arbitration and no regulator action found (November 6, 2026). Arbitration means a private judge decides a dispute instead of a court. The more useful question is what those 38 complaints say, and what Priority's written terms let you do about them.
A gold IRA is a retirement account that holds physical gold through a custodian. SafeOunce read all six Priority Gold complaints the BBB (Better Business Bureau) publishes and costed the customers' own figures. We also searched court and regulator records and read Priority's refund, buy-back and disclaimer pages.
Fees, minimums, the free silver offer and who the company suits are in our Priority Gold review; this page covers the complaint, court and regulator record. It is about Priority Gold LLC (prioritygold.com), not Priority Wealth Advisors, Priority Income Fund or airline and bank "priority gold" tiers.

Is Priority Gold Legit? The Short Answer#
Yes, Priority Gold is a legitimate, operating company with an A+ BBB grade and no regulator action or court judgment against it as of November 6, 2026. If you ask "is Priority Gold legit" or reputable, the public record says yes.
Legit is not the same as low-cost. The BBB lists 38 complaints in three years, and four of the six it publishes allege overpricing. In the largest, the customer says they paid $111,391.57 for gold worth $46,330.89 at the spot price that day. The spot price is today's market price for one ounce of raw metal. Priority publishes no coin prices, so you cannot check a price before the call.
Who should be careful? Anyone offered proof or "limited issue" coins for an IRA should be. A proof coin is a specially struck collector version of a coin, sold above bullion prices. So should anyone who cannot get a per-coin price in writing. The same goes for the 13 states with no cancellation section on Priority's refund page, Texas among them.
The complaint record has a strong side too. All 38 complaints were answered or resolved. Priority also publishes an 18% consignment fee (September 29, 2026) and cancellation notices for 37 states and Guam (November 6, 2026), which is more than most sellers print.
Priority Gold BBB Rating and Complaint Record#
Priority Gold has an A+ BBB rating and 38 complaints in the last three years, 11 of them in the last 12 months, as of November 6, 2026. The BBB marks 32 as resolved and 6 as answered; none is unanswered. By the BBB's own types, 17 are product issues, 8 service or repair, 5 sales and advertising, 3 customer service, 3 delivery, 1 billing and 1 order.
38 BBB complaints in three years, and what the number means#
Priority Gold has 38 BBB complaints against 653 BBB reviews, or 5.8 complaints per 100 reviews, the fourth-highest rate of 11 gold sellers SafeOunce tracks. Each row is dated: Priority, Goldco and Augusta on November 6, 2026, the others on September 29 or October 2, 2026. On September 29, 2026, the same count gave 5.9.
The table ranks 11 gold sellers by BBB complaints per 100 BBB reviews.
| Company | BBB complaints (3 years) | BBB reviews | Per 100 reviews | Date read |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| U.S. Money Reserve | 29 | 120 | 24.2 | Oct. 2, 2026 |
| Lear Capital | 33 | 149 | 22.1 | Sept. 29, 2026 |
| American Hartford Gold | 111 | 804 | 13.8 | Oct. 2, 2026 |
| Priority Gold | 38 | 653 | 5.8 | Nov. 6, 2026 |
| Goldco | 72 | 1,717 | 4.2 | Nov. 6, 2026 |
| Birch Gold Group | 9 | 227 | 4.0 | Sept. 29, 2026 |
| Preserve Gold | 2 | 123 | 1.6 | Oct. 2, 2026 |
| Noble Gold | 3 | 243 | 1.2 | Oct. 2, 2026 |
| Augusta Precious Metals | 1 | 136 | 0.7 | Nov. 6, 2026 |
| Patriot Gold Group | 0 | 80 | 0 | Sept. 29, 2026 |
| Advantage Gold | 0 | 9 | 0 | Sept. 29, 2026 |
Counts grow with sales volume, and disputes sent to private arbitration never reach the BBB. The BBB itself says "the nature of complaints and a company's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints."
Two BBB profiles: accredited in Dallas, not in Beverly Hills#
Priority Gold is BBB accredited in Dallas, its headquarters, since December 18, 2023, while its Beverly Hills listing says "Not BBB Accredited", as of November 6, 2026. The Dallas file opened on November 14, 2023. The Beverly Hills profile, under the name "Priority Gold, LLC", shows the same A+ grade, 38 complaints and 653 reviews. It links to the Dallas profile as headquarters.
Priority's reviews page calls it "a fully accredited business with an A+ rating from the BBB" (September 29, 2026). Some review pages and search summaries call Priority simply "accredited"; only one of its two BBB listings is. The BBB does not say why the two profiles differ.
What an A+ grade, "resolved" and "answered" do and do not tell you#
An A+ grade mostly measures how a company handles complaints: 90 of the BBB's 100 rating points relate to complaints, and customer reviews do not count. A BBB grade is a letter from A+ to F. The BBB defines the two status words for closed complaints as shown below.
- Resolved: "The complainant verified the issue was resolved to their satisfaction."
- Answered: the business "addressed the issues", but the consumer "did not accept the response" or did not tell the BBB.
"Answered" is not "resolved". In 6 of Priority's 38 complaints, the customer did not confirm being satisfied. Pages that say Priority has "no unresolved complaints" count those 6 as settled. One "resolved" complaint from July 2024 shows the customer writing afterward that it "has not been fully resolved".
Why BBB and Trustpilot ratings rarely separate gold IRA companies is explained on our ratings page.
Trustpilot, Reddit and other review sites#
Priority Gold scores 4.9 on Trustpilot from 369 reviews, with 93% five-star and 2% one-star, as of November 6, 2026. Priority invites customers to review it and replies to every negative review, typically within a month, according to Trustpilot.
Trustpilot adds seven 3.5-star reviews to every score by formula, and all ten large sellers SafeOunce tracks show 89% to 99% five-star reviews (September 29, 2026). Trustpilot's own summary of Priority's reviews mentions "rude behavior" on some calls and slow "distribution processing" (November 6, 2026).
SafeOunce could not open a Reddit thread that ranks for Priority Gold complaints (November 6, 2026). Its search snippet describes one-star reviews split between "called me nonstop" and "ghosted after the form". These are unverified posts, and SafeOunce's method never counts them alone.
How gold IRA review sites and star scores are shaped is explained on our review-sites guide.
What Priority Gold Customers Complain About: All 6 Published BBB Complaints Read#
Four of the six Priority Gold complaints the BBB publishes allege overpricing, two of them about proof coins, and two allege that part of an order never arrived. The BBB shows the text of only 6 of the 38 complaints, so these are examples, not a full count. Each entry is what the customer says, not a finding against Priority.
The table lists every Priority Gold complaint with published text on the BBB, read November 6, 2026.
| Filed | BBB type | Customer's main point | Status | First company reply or customer acceptance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| May 23, 2024 | Product issues | Charged an undisclosed premium on proof gold sets | Answered | Company reply Aug. 30, 2024 (99 days) |
| July 15, 2024 | Product issues | Proof coins bought far above market value | Resolved | Customer answer July 26, 2024 (11 days) |
| July 26, 2024 | Customer service issues | Half of a delivered order missing | Resolved | Customer answer July 29, 2024 (3 days) |
| Aug. 1, 2024 | Product issues | Gold coins worth far less than paid | Resolved | Company reply and customer acceptance Aug. 30, 2024 (29 days) |
| Oct. 24, 2024 | Product issues | 8.8 oz delivered instead of 10 oz | Resolved | Company reply and acceptance Nov. 1, 2024 (8 days) |
| Oct. 16, 2025 | Service or repair issues | Overcharged for gold and silver | Answered | Company reply Oct. 31, 2025 (15 days) |
Overpricing complaints: 4 of the 6, two about proof coins#
Four published complaints say Priority Gold charged far more than the metal was worth, and the two with figures both involve proof American Eagles. Melt value is what the gold inside is worth at the spot price. Proof coins sell above melt value, and the extra part is usually lost when you sell.
Priority's catalog says proofs and limited issues carry "significantly higher premiums" and gives no figure (September 29, 2026). Many custodians accept proof American Gold Eagles because the statute names the Gold Eagle (26 U.S.C. 408(m)(3)(A)), not because of an IRS ruling. They want them ungraded, in the original mint box with the certificate. Equity Trust, the custodian Priority's articles name, refuses graded ("slabbed") Eagles.
What custodians accept for proof coins in an IRA, and the markup problem, is on our proof coin page.
For scale, Orion Metal Exchange, the one seller SafeOunce found with live online prices, listed a 1 oz proof Gold Eagle at 13.38% over spot on September 29, 2026. The May 2024 customer below reports a gap of 140.4% in 2023.
Steering IRA buyers from bullion to collector coins is the subject of our page on numismatic coin upsells.
The complaints below are costed in date order, with Priority's reply beside each.
May 2024: $111,391.57 for 23.7 ounces of proof gold#
The customer says they paid $111,391.57 on September 19, 2023, for 23.7 ounces of gold in proof American Eagle sets that were worth $46,330.89 at that day's spot price. The purchase was 12 four-piece proof Gold Eagle sets and 1 two-piece set inside a traditional IRA. The customer calls the premium "not disclosed" and says a later buyback quote was $53,000 to $57,000. The BBB status is "answered": Priority's reply of August 30, 2024, says it "finished the necessary steps" to resolve the concerns and asks that the complaint be removed.
The table turns the customer's figures into percentages (SafeOunce calculation from the customer's figures; inputs customer-stated and unverified).
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Price paid (Sept. 19, 2023) | $111,391.57 |
| Gold content | 23.7 oz |
| Spot price that day (customer) | $1,954.89 an ounce |
| Melt value that day | $46,330.89 |
| Amount above melt value | $65,060.68 |
| Above melt value, as a share of melt value | 140.4% |
| Above melt value, as a share of the price paid | 58.4% |
| Buyback quote (customer, May 2024) | $53,000-$57,000, or 47.6%-51.2% of the price paid |
| Melt value at the customer's later spot of $2,380 | $56,406.00; the quote is 94.0%-101.1% of it |
| Melt value at the LBMA PM price of $4,144.55 (Sept. 28, 2026) | $98,225.84, still $13,165.73 below the price paid |
| Gold price at which melt value equals the price paid | $4,700.07 an ounce |
| Hypothetical: bullion coins at Priority's stated 4-7% over spot | 53.25 to 54.79 oz, 2.25 to 2.31 times the 23.7 oz received |
| Melt value of that bullion at the LBMA PM price (Sept. 28, 2026) | $220,710.81 to $227,077.47, against $98,225.84 |
Gold rose 21.7% from the purchase-day spot to the customer's later spot figure, yet the quote was about half the price paid. At gold's record LBMA PM price of $5,405.00 (January 29, 2026), melt value briefly passed the price paid, at $128,098.50. By the September 28, 2026 LBMA PM, it was $13,165.73 below it again. The $65,060.68 is this customer's gap between price and melt value, not Priority's margin on other orders.
By Priority's own premium range, the same money in bullion coins would have bought more than twice the gold. That is the real cost of choosing proofs.
The gap often shows up on the first custodian statement. Equity Trust, for example, values metal at the previous day's metal price, which "does not include any markups, commissions or premiums from the precious metals dealer". Vault insurance also pays metal value, not the collector premium, unless a declared value is on file.
July 2024: proof Silver Eagles sold for half their price#
The customer says proof Silver Eagles bought through a December 2021 rollover for $143.95 each later sold for an average of $72.91, which is 49.4% less. The customer rolled over $48,912.34 and says they asked that prices "not exceed fair market value". The customer sold 31 of the coins in November 2022. The customer also says a proof Gold Eagle 4-piece set at $7,392.13 had a market value in the "low $4,000.00s".
The table sets the customer's figures side by side (SafeOunce calculation).
| Item | Paid | Sold or estimated | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Proof Silver Eagle, per coin | $143.95 | $72.91 sold (average) | $71.04 less (49.4%) |
| 31 proof Silver Eagles | $4,462.45 | $2,260.21 sold | $2,202.24 less (customer states a $2,841.60 loss) |
| Proof Gold Eagle 4-piece set | $7,392.13 | About $4,000 (customer's estimate) | 84.8% above the estimate (customer says "around 90 percent") |
The customer's stated loss of $2,841.60 cannot be reproduced from the per-coin figures, which give $2,202.24. The coins were sold about 11 months after purchase, so Priority's consignment route, which opens after 60 months, was not available.
The BBB marks this complaint resolved and shows no reply text from Priority. The customer wrote on July 26, 2024, that it was "successfully resolved". On July 30, the customer wrote that the first message "was premature". On August 1, the customer said a resolution was still being worked out; the record does not show what it was.
August 2024 and October 2025: two shorter overpricing complaints#
Two shorter complaints also allege overcharging: one in August 2024 about gold coins, one in October 2025 about gold and silver. In the first, the customer wired money on May 30, 2024, and says the gold coins were "not worth anywhere near" the price; the BBB redacts the amounts. The customer has "no complaint with the silver". It was resolved on August 30, 2024, and the customer wrote that Priority "did everything they could" and would be used again.
In the second, filed October 16, 2025, the customer writes that even after prices "doubled", the investment "is still a loss". Priority's reply of October 31, 2025, says its team is "in direct communication with the client".
Short and missing deliveries: 2 complaints, both resolved#
Two published complaints say part of an order was missing, and both ended with the customer accepting a resolution within eight days. In October 2024, the customer says they agreed to pay $26,500 for 10 ounces of gold around September 4, 2024, and received 8.8 ounces. SafeOunce calculation from the customer's figures: that is $2,650 an ounce agreed and $3,011.36 per ounce received. Priority replied on November 1, 2024, that the concerns were resolved "without the need for a refund", and the customer accepted the same day.
In July 2024, the customer says half of a gold and silver order was missing from a package delivered July 23, 2024. The customer reported a resolution on July 29, 2024, and Priority's reply followed on August 21, 2024.
Check delivery the day the metal arrives: count your coins, or compare your custodian statement with the invoice. Priority's FAQ says IRA deliveries are "generally completed within 10 to 14 business days after account setup" (September 29, 2026).
The steps to check delivery of metal you paid for, and what to do if it is short, are on our delivery checklist.
How Priority Gold answers complaints: 3 to 99 days#
In the six published complaints, Priority Gold's reply or the customer's acceptance came 3 to 99 days after filing, with a median of 13 days. The 99-day case is the May 2024 proof-set complaint, still marked "answered". Two replies say the concerns were resolved; the October 2025 reply says only that Priority is "in direct communication with the client". The record does not show what customers received.
The 11 newest complaints have no published text#
None of the 11 complaints the BBB counts in the 12 months before November 6, 2026, has published text, so the newest complaints cannot be read. Only 6 of the 38 complaints have text, or 15.8%. The newest published text is dated October 16, 2025. The BBB warns that displayed text "might not represent all complaints filed with BBB".
The 12-month count was 13 on September 29, 2026, and 11 on November 6, 2026. The BBB file covers a rolling three-year window, so the 2024 complaints drop out during 2027. Open the BBB complaints page yourself before you buy, because the count changes every month.
Priority Gold Lawsuits: One Case Sent to Arbitration, No Class Action Found#
SafeOunce found one lawsuit against Priority Gold, LLC: a Collin County, Texas, case filed October 28, 2025, which the court sent to private arbitration on February 19, 2026. No class action and no court judgment against the company was found in searches on November 6, 2026. A docket is a court's list of filings in a case. No court has ruled on Priority's prices or found wrongdoing.
The table lists every legal proceeding SafeOunce found that names Priority Gold, with its outcome.
| Proceeding | Court and number | Filed | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hamilton v. Priority Gold, LLC and Bayside Metal Exchange | Collin County, Tex., district court, No. 493-08644-2025 (Trellis docket summary) | Oct. 28, 2025 | Arbitration compelled Feb. 19, 2026; case abated; arbitration outcome not public |
| Orion Precious Metals, Inc. v. Money Group, LLC | C.D. Cal. No. 2:26-cv-07092 (complaint) | June 29, 2026 | Priority is named in the allegations, not a party; pending, no ruling known (Nov. 6, 2026) |
| Federal court search | CourtListener dockets and opinions, "Priority Gold" and "Priority Gold LLC" | Searched Nov. 6, 2026 | No case with Priority Gold LLC as a party |
Hamilton v. Priority Gold, LLC (Collin County, Texas, 2025-2026)#
Hamilton v. Priority Gold, LLC and Bayside Metal Exchange was filed on October 28, 2025, in a Collin County, Texas, district court as No. 493-08644-2025, according to the court docket as summarized by Trellis. The Trellis docket summary is the only record of the case SafeOunce could read. Priority asked the court to compel arbitration, and the order granting it is dated February 19, 2026. The case was then abated, meaning paused.
Neither the claims nor any arbitration result is public in what SafeOunce could read.
Is there a Priority Gold class action? What the court search shows#
No class action against Priority Gold was found: a search of federal court records on November 6, 2026, found no case with Priority Gold LLC as a party. A class action is one lawsuit brought for many customers at once. SafeOunce ran three searches in CourtListener, a free database of federal court records, listed below.
- "Priority Gold" in federal dockets (search): 10 cases, none against the dealer, with unrelated names such as "Priority Gold Violin LLC". One, Orion v. Money Group, names Priority in its allegations.
- "Priority Gold LLC" in federal dockets (search): 0 results.
- "Priority Gold" in published court opinions: 5 results, none about the dealer.
A lawsuit-information website, LawFold (updated September 5, 2026), describes a "Priority Gold lawsuit" but names no court, case number or filing. SafeOunce found no court record that matches it.
If anyone asks you to join a "Priority Gold class action", ask for the court and case number first.
Cases that name Priority Gold but are not against it#
Three legal records turn up in "Priority Gold" searches without being cases against Priority Gold LLC. They are listed below.
- Orion Precious Metals, Inc. v. Money Group, LLC, C.D. Cal. No. 2:26-cv-07092, filed June 29, 2026, pending, no ruling known as of November 6, 2026 (complaint). Orion alleges money.com is "paid by these companies to rank their businesses as a top choice". It names Priority among five companies, but Priority is not a defendant.
- Priority Wealth Advisors, Inc.: a consent order from the DFPI (California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation) against a different firm.
- Priority Income Fund: law-firm investigations of brokers who sold that fund, an unrelated company.
Priority's own refund page adds one more name: its Montana notice names the seller as "Priority Gold Group, LP". SafeOunce has not confirmed how that entity relates to Priority Gold LLC.
Regulator Actions Against Priority Gold: None Found#
SafeOunce found no CFTC, SEC, Texas or California regulator action against Priority Gold LLC in searches on November 6, 2026. The CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) is the federal agency that polices fraud in physical metals sales. Regulator actions can take years to become public, so check again before you buy. Every case SafeOunce tracks against other sellers is in our list of precious metals IRA enforcement actions.
The state searches covered the Texas State Securities Board, California's DFPI and both attorneys general. "None found" means none in those searches, not a promise.
Metals dealers are not registered like stock brokers, so "not registered" proves nothing either way. Why metals dealers fall between agencies is explained on who regulates gold IRA companies.
Is Priority Gold on SafeOunce's Watch list?#
No: Priority Gold triggers none of SafeOunce's exclusion gates, including Watch, as of October 2, 2026. Watch needs one of three things: a pending regulator action, an affiliate's bankruptcy, or 3 or more non-delivery complaints filed with the BBB or a regulator within 90 days. Unverified posts on review sites alone never count. Priority's BBB file lists 3 delivery complaints over three years. The two published short-delivery complaints were filed three months apart and are typed as product and customer service issues.
Gate 3, a settled pricing or disclosure case in the last five years, is not triggered either. Priority's result is provisional: it earned 28 of the 45 points checked so far (October 2, 2026). The other 55 points are not yet checked, 19 of them by the written quote test. The gates and weights are on how SafeOunce rates gold IRA companies.
What Priority Gold's Contract Terms Say About Each Complaint#
Priority Gold publishes its state refund notices, a buy-back policy and a disclaimer, but not the customer agreement you sign. So only part of what governs a complaint can be read before you buy.
The table matches each complaint type to the written term that governs it.
| Complaint type | What Priority's pages say | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Overpricing | No prices; "Call us for a live quote"; bullion coins "typically run 4-7% over spot"; proofs carry "significantly higher premiums" | Ask for the per-coin price and the percent over spot in writing |
| Promises on the phone | "Neither Priority's Customer Agreement nor these State-specific policies disclaim oral representations" | What a salesperson said can still count; write it down |
| Short or missing delivery | Full refund where goods are "defective, not as represented, or not received as promised" (Alabama and Louisiana; similar in Alaska and Florida) | Report a shortfall in writing at once |
| Changing your mind | 3 business days to 14 days by state; 13 states not listed; the IRA clock starts at Priority's transfer notice | Decide before you sign |
| Returns after the window | Only counterfeit coins "within ninety (90) days of purchase" | No refunds for regret |
| Selling back | Wholesale bid, "a lower price" for collector coins, or 18% consignment after 60 months | Proof coins cost twice: going in and coming out |
| Disputes | Customer agreement not public; a court compelled arbitration in 2026 | Expect arbitration, not court |
Ten major sellers' contracts are compared clause by clause on gold IRA company contracts.
Price: no prices published, and oral promises still count#
Priority Gold prints no price for any coin, and its refund page says the customer agreement does not disclaim what a salesperson tells you. The catalog says "Call us for a live quote" (September 29, 2026). Priority's reviews page promises "Live spot prices, plainly stated spreads", yet no per-product price or spread appears.
One overpricing customer above says they asked that prices "not exceed fair market value"; another calls the premium "not disclosed". The FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule requires telemarketers to tell you the total cost and quantity before you pay (16 CFR 310.3(a)(1)(i)).
Priority's disclaimer adds that its help "does not create a fiduciary relationship". A fiduciary is someone legally bound to put your interests first. What a fiduciary owes you, and why a salesperson is not one, is in our glossary.
Quantity and delivery: "not received as promised"#
In some states, Priority Gold's refund page promises a full refund when goods are "defective, not as represented, or not received as promised". That wording appears in the Alabama and Louisiana notices; Nevada's says only "defective or not as represented".
For financed or leveraged metals sales, the CFTC requires actual delivery within 28 days (CFTC release 8215-20, August 4, 2020); use that as a yardstick for your IRA delivery. The October 2024 shortfall was settled "without the need for a refund". Know your refund right before you accept another remedy.
Returns: short cancellation windows and the 90-day counterfeit rule#
Priority Gold's refund page gives 3 business days to 14 days to cancel, depending on your state, and lists no section for 13 states, Texas among them. The page covers 37 states and Guam (November 6, 2026). The 13 unlisted states are Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. The 14-day window is Kentucky's, for sales from an unsolicited phone call.
For IRA purchases, the clock starts at the transfer notice, the notice Priority issues when it transfers the metal for your IRA. That holds "regardless of when Customer obtains actual knowledge of receipt". After the window, the disclaimer accepts returns only for "counterfeit coins returned in their original holders within ninety (90) days of purchase".
The IRA itself can also be revoked for at least 7 days after it is set up, with a refund "without adjustment" for fees or market value (Treas. Reg. 1.408-6). That right runs against the custodian, not Priority, and does not by itself cancel the metal order. What it covers is on how to cancel a gold IRA.
Selling back proof coins: a lower bid or an 18% consignment fee#
Priority Gold buys bullion back at "the current wholesale bid price", pays "a lower price" for collector coins, and offers consignment for an 18% fee only after 60 months (September 29, 2026). The wholesale bid is the price a dealer pays to buy metal back. Consignment means the dealer sells for you and keeps a fee.
The table applies Priority's three exit routes to the May 2024 customer's proof sets (hypothetical; Priority publishes no bid for proofs).
| Exit route | What the customer gets | When and on what condition |
|---|---|---|
| Wholesale bid | The customer's quote: $53,000-$57,000 (May 2024) | No waiting period stated |
| Consignment | 82% of whatever a buyer pays; to get back $111,391.57, the sets must sell for $135,843.38 | Only from September 19, 2028 (60 months after purchase), only if a buyer is found, and only if Priority treats the sets as "Investment Grade and or Numismatic" products |
| Open market | Your own sale price | Your own effort and risk |
Proof coins cost you twice: a high premium going in, and a low bid or an 18% fee coming out. Bullion cannot be consigned, so selling it back to Priority means the wholesale bid. Each route also carries custodian fees: on Equity Trust's metals-only schedule, $30 per sale and $125 to ship coins to you or move them out (schedule FS-0004-05 Rev. 081726).

Can you sue Priority Gold? Arbitration and the unpublished agreement#
You can file a claim, but a Texas court sent the one known lawsuit to private arbitration, and Priority's customer agreement, which would set the rules, is not public. Every live dealer agreement SafeOunce has read has an arbitration clause. Consumer filing fees are capped at $225 at the AAA (American Arbitration Association) and $250 at JAMS, a private arbitration company. Courts usually enforce dealer arbitration clauses. One exception: a California appeals court held a clause unconscionable for an 82-year-old buyer in Dennison v. Rosland Capital, No. B295350 (April 1, 2020).
Your custodian may add a second clause. Equity Trust's custodial agreement requires private arbitration unless you opt out in writing within 65 days of opening. A federal court enforced it in Clark v. Equity Trust Co., D.N.M. No. 1:24-cv-00845, sending the owner to arbitration on October 29, 2024.
Priority's website terms choose California law, but only for website claims. Its arbitration body, opt-out and claim deadline are not public (November 6, 2026). Ask the three questions below before you sign.
- Ask whether the agreement has an arbitration clause, which body runs it and who pays.
- Ask whether there is an opt-out, and its deadline.
- Ask how long you have to bring a claim.
Calls and texts: what the consent box allows#
Priority Gold's contact forms ask you to agree to calls by "pre-recorded message, ringless voicemail, or automated telephone technology", and its text program sends up to 4 messages a month (September 29, 2026). Ringless voicemail drops a message into your voicemail without the phone ringing. Unverified posts mention repeated calls, but no published BBB complaint is about calls.
To stop texts, Priority's terms say to text STOP to 24999; also say "stop" in writing. Under the FCC's rule, a stop request made by any reasonable method must be honored within 10 business days. Sales calls are allowed only from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (47 CFR 64.1200). How to stop gold IRA cold calls and what the Do-Not-Call rules cover is on our calls guide.
How to Complain About Priority Gold and Try to Get Money Back#
Start with Priority Gold in writing, then the BBB, then a regulator: the BBB record shows Priority answers every complaint, and regulators need a written trail.
The table shows where each kind of Priority Gold problem goes.

The full guide to how to report a gold IRA company lists every agency's form.
Six steps build the written trail.
- Gather the invoice, the order confirmation and every email.
- Write down what the salesperson promised, with dates.
- Email Priority's client relations with one clear request.
- File with the BBB if there is no answer in 14 days.
- File with the Texas Attorney General or the CFTC if you suspect deception.
- Ask a lawyer about arbitration before any deadline passes.
A complaint number from the Texas Attorney General "does not reflect that the OAG has a case or investigation pending". The SEC warns that self-directed IRA custodians "generally do not evaluate the quality or legitimacy of any investment" (SEC investor alert).
What cancellation, arbitration and restitution can do is explained on how to get your money back from a gold IRA company.
The deadlines that decide your options#
Six deadlines decide what you can still do about a Priority Gold purchase. Note each one on the day you buy.
- Cancellation: 3 business days to 14 days by state, counted from Priority's transfer notice for IRA purchases.
- IRA revocation: at least 7 days after the IRA is set up, with the custodian.
- Custodian arbitration opt-out: 65 days from opening, if your custodian is Equity Trust.
- Counterfeit returns: 90 days from purchase.
- Consignment: available only after 60 months.
- Claims: the deadline in your customer agreement, which is not public; ask for it.
How to Check Priority Gold Before You Buy#
Check Priority Gold by its legal name, Priority Gold LLC, then get six answers in writing before any money moves. Search the legal name on both BBB profiles, on CourtListener and with your state regulator. The step-by-step way to check a gold IRA company by its legal name is on our verification guide.
Ask Priority Gold these 6 questions.
- Ask the price per coin and the percent over spot for each item.
- Ask for bullion, not proofs, in an IRA, and get the custodian's written yes for every coin before Priority invoices.
- Ask what Priority would pay for the same coins tomorrow.
- Ask for the customer agreement and invoice by email before paying.
- Ask how many days you have to cancel, and when the clock starts.
- Ask which custodian and depository, and the fee schedule's revision date.

Robert Kiyosaki and other Priority Gold endorsements#
Priority Gold calls Robert Kiyosaki its "Official Partner" and "A real financial voice, not a paid actor", which does not say whether he is paid. Priority's website terms say testimonialists "MAY be affiliated with COMPANY as Marketing Affiliates", with a connection "in the form of Commissions" (September 29, 2026). The CFTC warns in general that fraudulent dealers target ads to political or religious programming (CFTC release 8881-24). This is not an allegation against Priority Gold. Who endorses which seller is tracked on celebrity gold IRA endorsements.
Does Priority Gold pay review sites?#
Yes: Priority Gold runs an affiliate program on the Everflow platform that pays partners commissions "on a Net 30 basis", but it does not publish how much it pays. The program terms are dated May 1, 2026 (read September 29, 2026). On money.com's best gold IRA page of September 25, 2026, Priority appears only in paid spots.
SafeOunce takes no money from any company named on this page. Many review pages are paid when you contact a company; see who pays SafeOunce and what money cannot buy.
Is Priority Gold a scam?#
No record found shows Priority Gold to be a scam: it is an operating company with no regulator action or court judgment against it. Four published BBB complaints do allege overpricing. The warning signs of real gold IRA scams are on our scams guide.
Who owns Priority Gold?#
Priority Gold LLC does not publish its owners; the BBB names Michael Anderson as chief operating officer and Jennifer Warner as director of operations, as of November 6, 2026. The company's names and leaders are covered in our Priority Gold review.
Where is Priority Gold located?#
Priority Gold is headquartered at 5005 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Suite 300, in Dallas, Texas; the BBB also lists an office at 9777 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California (November 6, 2026). A Priority reviews page still shows an older address in Sherman Oaks, California.
What if a parent bought gold from Priority Gold?#
Start with the invoice and the custodian statement, then use the complaint steps above; if pressure or confusion was involved, the DOJ Elder Justice Hotline is 1-833-372-8311. What adult children can do when a parent is pressured into a gold IRA is on our family guide.
Is there a downside to buying gold from Priority Gold?#
The main downside is cost you cannot see in advance: Priority publishes no coin prices, and gold pays no interest or dividends. The general case is on gold IRA pros and cons.
